There are interiors that speak before you enter them. Not through scale or spectacle, but through a quality of attention that is immediately felt — in the weight of a textile, in the way light moves across a wall, in the silence that a carefully chosen object is capable of holding.
This is the conviction at the heart of VV Interior Home, and it is what brought ELLE Decoration to the work of Valeria Viollaz in their May 2026 issue.
The editorial — titled The Art of Living Calmly — documents a space shaped by restraint and intention. A large-scale painting by Carol Moreno anchors the room, its tones moving between forest and atmosphere, between memory and presence. A Hiroshi Aoki ceramic vessel occupies a travertine surface with the quiet authority of an object that has earned its place. An antique travertine table — sourced and curated by VV Interior Home — grounds the space in geological time. Linen curtains by Atelier Brun filter the light without interrupting it. A PK22 chair. Nothing superfluous. Nothing accidental.
What ELLE Decoration recognised — and what the editorial communicates with rare clarity — is that VV Interior Home does not decorate spaces. It considers them. Every element is selected for what it carries: its material history, its relationship to light, its capacity to make a room feel inhabited rather than arranged.
The result is an interior that does not age. One that deepens.
