Vintage 1970’s italian travertine square coffee tables – pair
This pair of travertine square side tables, crafted in Italy during the 1970s, presents two complementary yet distinct pieces — the first measuring 50 × 50 × 40 cm, the second 55 × 55 × 35 cm — that together create a layered compositional rhythm while retaining their individual formal identity.
Each table features a square top with softened edges resting on a solid monolithic base, executed in the same material throughout. The 3 cm top thickness gives both pieces a substantial material presence — dense and grounded without visual heaviness. The travertine displays warm beige and ivory tones with subtle natural veining that ensures each slab is unique to its geological origin.
The slight variation in footprint and height between the two tables is not incidental but compositionally productive — when placed together they create depth and visual interest; when used independently they function equally as resolved stand-alone objects.
A formally coherent and materially honest pair — two tables that work better together than apart.

These are antique pieces and are sold as such. Although VV does its best to highlight major flaws, minor imperfections should be expected reflecting the age and previous use of the piece.
