Set of Three Round Travertine Pedestal Tables · Italian School · Italy, c. 1970s
Three circles. Three heights. One material. One conversation.
This set of three Italian travertine tables operates as a sculptural ensemble as much as a functional one. Each piece shares the same generous 60 cm diameter — a single circular slab of warm ivory travertine resting on a solid cylindrical base — while rising to a different height, creating a graduated sequence that shifts naturally between coffee table, side table, and accent surface depending on how they are arranged.
The construction is entirely monolithic: top and base carved from the same material, with no hardware, no metal, no interruption between one element and the next. The travertine reveals its geological character in full — lateral veining, fossil inclusions, the subtle tonal variation between cream and sand that makes each piece unrepeatable. The slightly overhanging circular top, set against the strict geometry of the cylindrical base, creates a quietly dramatic silhouette that reads differently from every angle.
A formal language that connects directly to the Italian stone design tradition of the 1970s — when material reduction and sculptural intelligence were inseparable. Grouped together they compose; separated, each holds its own.
Sold as a complete set. Condition consistent with age and consistent with character.
